ONE-HOUR RECORDED WORKSHOP · BRING A PEN · FOR BUSY MOMS
One hour. One tiny list of daily non-negotiables. Watch it whenever. Start feeling like yourself again.
You’ll leave with 1–3 things you actually enjoy doing - small enough to fit into your real life - that put you back on your own to do list.
You’ve followed the moms who insisted you just need to wake up earlier. You bought the color-coded planner that was guaranteed to “help you put yourself first.” You even — one time — silent-screamed your way through a cold plunge in the hopes it would clear your brain and give you more patience.
They didn’t work.
You still hit the end of the day, feeling worn out, wrung out, and like your life is merely for the service of others.
The reason the 4am journaling, the breathwork in the carpool line, and the workout before you’ve fully woken up didn’t work is because it WASN’T YOUR JAM.
It’s not that you’re a lazy person (see: 10,000 tasks you accomplished today) or unmotivated (see: 10,003 tasks you accomplished yesterday).
It’s that these “helpful tips” don’t work with your busy mom life. Or they don’t actually fill you up. Or, most importantly, they drained your fun instead of adding to it.
What if you felt settled and calm? What if you did one, two, omg, THREE things a day that you actually enjoyed doing? That made you feel energized, more like yourself, and less likely to lose it in the grocery aisle?
What if you even had — gasp! — fun, every single day?
Hey, I’m Kara, and my job was EVERYTHING for everyone else — and then I’d take whatever scraps were left over and try to piece together enough umph to get me through the next day.
It made me very grumpy and resentful.
Then, slowly, over time, I started adding in small, non-negotiable things that I did on a daily basis, NO MATTER WHAT. And my life shifted.
It wasn’t overnight. But I started noticing less resentment when people asked me for help. I started feeling more generous with my patience and found a second to pause before reacting. I started laughing more because I was having fun again — and the kids noticed and tried to make me laugh more, which led to more laughing.
And then things got really crazy.
My life changed. All because I decided to put myself first, every day, for just a few minutes.
You can do the same. Give me one hour and you’ll leave with a super simple blueprint of small shifts you can start making today.
You’re going to get crystal clear on 1–3 non-negotiables. They’ll all easily fit into your everyday life — no long ass morning routines here! — so you can start feeling like your most lit up self again.
You’ll leave with:
You are worth the time and energy it takes to make yourself a priority EVERY SINGLE DAY. Your life (and family) will thank you for it, pinkie swear!
Less than a mani-pedi, and it doesn’t wear off by Thursday.

Kara leads the way when it comes to showing up as your unique and best self.
I simply loved her class because it had everything I needed to feel comfortable, plus the fun of learning from the best.
Cindy Morgan-JaffeAs moms, we often use one-off events to carry us through our day-to-day life. You’ll have a magnificent girls’ weekend — laughing and yapping with friends — that revives you right up until the welcome-back vibes dissipate and everyone’s melting down. Or you'll sneak out and grab a mani-pedi and feel giddy until you open your email and realize you have 1,265 unanswered messages.
You need a daily, repeatable, enjoyable, easy practice that fills you up on a regular basis and reminds you who you are and how you want to feel.
An occasional shindig isn’t going to do that. Join The Lit Up List and put yourself first on the daily.
PS : It’s one hour and $47, which is roughly a Costco run where you only bought the soccer snacks you came in for, which we all know has NEVER HAPPENED . Come hang out, okay?
xx. Kara
(But, sometimes, it’s nice to have. 😍)
Permission Slip is your virtual thumbs-up to join a salsa class, turn down that coveted PTA position, take a middle-of-the-day nap, or try out barrel jeans.
I’ve got tiny shifts, bonker ideas, and real life inspo (and embarrassments) to help you find guilt-free time to build a lit up life.
